Welcome to Whippoorwill Stables, a full service stable, operated by Allen and Kim Kesner, offering training for flatshod Tennessee walking horses, Kentucky and Rocky Mountain, and Mountain Pleasure horses. We also drive Halflingers in harness. We start many young horses at halter, under saddle and in harness. Our training combines good common sense and natural methods to give them a solid foundation before taking them on to more advanced work either in the show ring or on the trail. At our facility, the primary goal is to make sure owners and horses both find pleasure in what they do, whether they are showing, riding the trail, or just around the barn. Horses from our stable are shown and ridden in several states including Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Ohio, and Maryland. Our barn location, just off I-81 near Harrisonburg, VA, puts us in a very central location for access to and from all of these states, both for travel to shows, and for owners coming to the barn to work with their horses.
